Do you know what a nursery rhyme is? Don't you agree we all know them by heart?


2. When you have read the introduction and the first and second chapters you can start writing out the names of the main characters. That will help you follow the story better . You can write next to each name the relationship he/she has with the other characters and his /her main personality traits. 

3. Now you can match each character with one of the Five little pigs in the Rhyme.

2015/ 2016

3ºESO READ "MILLIONS"  

The story of a boy who found a lot of money and how he dealt with it....from creating inflation in the playground to giving it away so they could build wells in Africa to have drinking water.




3º eso students created bookmarks, posters and booklets to retell the story in very creative ways.
Well done!




GLOBAL CLASSROOMS 2016 UPDATE:

Aldebaran's team classified to take part in the last debate and did their best.  After months of hard work, exciting debates and research, they reached their goals and received the Honorable Delegation Award.  We congratulate them and their coach: Elena Venable, as well as their History teacher: Verónica.  

THEY ALL DESERVE TO TAKE PART IN THE DEBATE IN THE UNITED NATIONS IN NEW YOUR BUT WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE........

SCIENCE


BIOLOGY PRACTICE: MODELS OF OUR HEARTS TO LEARN ABOUT CHOLESTEROL EFFECTS

The experiment was a model of the blood flow with straws. The objective was to see how the cholesterol narrows our arteries and avoid them to carry as much blood to the heart as they should. This experiment should lead to a discussion on arteriosclerosis.

During the  first term, 3rd of ESO students have worked on the project of Heroes and as a final written task they have all presented a story about a Hero of their own .All these pieces of creative writing have been outstanding but two of them have deserved a First and Second Prize.

20TH JANUARY.  GLOBAL CLASSROOMS

3º eso sent 10 students to participate in the Global Classrooms event at Las Acacias.  All their teachers and classmates wished them the best and keep finger crossed till we get the results...

Nevertheless, all 3º eso students worked and participated in the process. They all learnt bout other countries and the dynamics of a debate.

Joyeux Noël (English: Merry Christmas) is a 2005 French film about the World War IChristmas truce of December 1914, depicted through the eyes of FrenchScottish and German soldiers. It was written and directed by Christian Carion.[2] It was screened out of competition at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival.[3]
The film was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 78th Academy Awards

  Congratulations to all  students for their achievements both in external examinations and at Aldebarán.

3ºA and 3ºB  are enrolled in the challenging project; Global Classrooms with the help of our fulbright  Language Assistant : Sophie Amado and their Social Studies teacher.
