SUMMER READING LIST          

(* indicates the level of difficulty; if you think your reading ability is below your school year you can pick a book from the year below)



1º ESO……..on your way to 2º eso

TASK Nº 1.Choose one of the following books to read in the summer holidays.  When you come to school in September you will be tested  on it. 

“Loser”, by Jerry Spinelly                                          **
       “Walk two moons”  by Sharon Creech                     *
       “Sideway stories from Wayside school” by Louis Sachar  **
       “The diary of a Wimpy Kid” by Jeff Kinney                       *
       “Looking for Alaska” by John Green                               **

TASK Nº 2.You must also bring a short diary of the holidays ( min.2 pages, max 5)





2º ESO………on your way to 3º eso

TASK Nº1.  Choose one of the following books to read (or more than one)
You will be tested on it in September.


       “The London eye mystery” by Siobhan Dowd **
       “Fantastic Mr. Fox” by Roald Dahl                  *
       “When we collided” by Emery Lord                  ***
      
TASK Nº2. You must write a short newspaper with news from your summer holidays or general news from the summer period.







3º ESO…………. On your way to 4º eso

TASK 1. Choose one of the following books to read in the summer holidays. You will be given a test on it when you come to school in September.


       “The outsiders” by SE Hinton                        ***
       “Animal Farm” by George Orwell                    ***
       “Thirteen reasons why” by Jay Asher        **
       "The absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian”
 by Sherman Alexie                           **

TASK 2. Write a report of a bit of news from an English speaking country that catches your attention over the summer.  Hand it to your new English teacher in September ( min,100 words,max.150)



ESO…………………on your way to 1º Bachiller

TASK 1. Pick one of the following books to read in summer. You will be tested in September.

“ The square root of summer” by Reuter Hapgood  **
“The golden compass” by Philip Pullman            **



TASK 2.Write a different ending to the story you have read. (150 to 200 words)
