1st and 2nd of eso have worked really hard again this year with superb results, some to be seen and read in their written work about english books and literature.

Another school year has gone by. Students are still busy taking exams and sweating through classes.
Tired teachers marking exams non-stop. This must come to an end.  We all need a good rest.

However thrilling it is to watch you all grow up into young adults, learn and become independent thinkers, it is also sad that our time together must end, a time that will never come back ...

DISCOVERING SHAKESPEARE

On the 23rd of April and to celebrate Shakespeare, students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd of Eso performed a short play taken from the last Act in "Midsummer night's dream". Adapted for the occasion, Shakespeare's poor actors were students of eso trying to put on stage the greek tragedy "Pyramus and Thisbe" making everyone laugh at their poor performance and terrible acting.

DISCOVERING SHAKESPEARE PROJECT (a day to celebrate Shakespeare organised by Dirección General Calidad de la Enseñanza for Bilingual Schools)

A cross curricular project for the Bilingual Sections.

The Art Depatment worked with 1º eso students to create a poster for the play:

The ICT Department worked with a couple of students from 3rd ESO to create a Making Of about the play rehearsals. 

THE PLAY: end of Act V.  "Midsummer Night's Dream" 

Volunteers from 1st, 2nd an 3rd of ESO are rehearsing a short performance from the last Act of "Midsummer Night's Dream"  slightly adapted for the occasion.  Under the masterful direction of our Theater Director and Playwright.

ORAL EXAMS WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN 25th MAY AND 8th JUNE FOR FIRST CER.B2

Soloist ballerina Emilia Jovanovic gives a passionate and committed performance in the role of Lady Macbeth and the dancers of the BCBU as the Witches fill the stage with energy and irony.

Shakespeare's Classic in Contemporary Dance

Adapted by David Freeborough and choreographed by award-winning Amaury Lebrun, this innovative production re-expresses Shakespeare's dark tale of ambition, witchcraft, and murder through the medium of contemporary dance. Lebrun's original and subtle choreography and superb choice of music together with an unerring focus of the key dramatic moments of the play make this new production from the Ballet Contemporáneo de Burgos exciting and entertaining, while at the same time moving and thought-provoking.
